Kal Tire

Dropped my BMW off last weekend at Kal. Brought a set of 17 inch OEM wheels to have the tires mounted on. Was told that they typically don’t do 17 inch wheels on my model car because the brakes don’t clear. I told the technician that I already test fitted everything, and made sure the offset and the tires going on was an appropriate width. After discussion with the advisor, all was fine as I assured with him that I did double check these wheels before bringing them to Kal. Came back to pickup the car after receiving the text, and these are the things that started to bother me. The person who rung us through said that the car was ready to go, but the summer tires weren’t in the car. Had to come back and ask. Also noticed that all the valve stem caps were different on all four corners, so I asked why that’s the case. The technician said that “we don’t have any, so I just put on whatever I found. You didn’t bring the wheels with caps, so why does it matter?”. I didn’t really pay for service using old parts, and I made sure to ask for new valve stems and caps when I dropped it off. The car was realigned, but the service advisor scoffed asking “why would I need the alignment sheet” after I requested a copy. I like to keep documentation to make sure the car in driving is setup correctly, and I don’t think that response is necessary. I’ve been to this store before for a new set of summer tires and didn’t have any issues then, but this visit, I feel like the employees lacked professionalism. The good thing is that the tires installed are correct sizing, model and direction as I ordered, but overall I did not like the service. Update: Sean reached out to me over phone and apologized for the mishaps, acknowledged that further training would be needed for the new staff that I dealt with during my pick-up. I appreciate Sean reaching out and will certainly reconsider Kal when the time comes.

Had to call to make an appointment (phone/website needs to be updated to tell you to call the location to make an appointment). Friendly and efficient service. Kal Tire is a great place to buy your tires from. They include a good care package that definitely makes it worth while.

Fixed my tire!

I had great service here by Sean, Norm and their team. Got my car all fixed up in such a quick amount of time. When I go there I feel like I am in good hands. Trustworthiness and integrity is very, very important when I get my car serviced, and these guys got it. Will definitely come again when the car needs a tune up!
