If you value TRUST, EXCELLENCE, and RELATIONAL AUTHENTICITY then this is the place to go. TRUST: I had a prior vehicle that was going to cost me greatly until they recommended that I invested in another one because of future costs they could see in the months ahead. They could have easily taken my money and could have waited for me to come back to pay more but they didn't. Now the vehicle I have works fine. Based on my experience, they will NOT take advantage of you for financial gain. You can bet on that. EXCELLENCE: In buying my next vehicle I made sure to have them inspect it because I knew they would notice things in a much more detailed way then most places do. They enjoy what they do most of the time and are incredibly perceptive of upcoming issues or things to be aware of. RELATIONAL AUTHENTICITY: They will tell you what's up in your language. Even to the extent of taking you through the details of the car in the garage and explaining to you what is going on. #1 is trust. Robin and his team asked me why I was asking for the service I did (engine flush) & explained why it can sometimes not be the right thing to do and if I had any other concerns. They gave me honest feedback on what I was asking for, what I may need done in the future, no forced upselling and quotes for what I asked for. Speedy, friendly, explained everything in detail by showing me. I am so relieved to find an amazing shop I can trust and count on.

After recently moving to Ottawa and searching for a mechanic, I've had three successful, efficient, and professional service experiences with SMRO Auto. My 2013 Audi A4 still runs like a dream, but is starting to require a little extra service attention as she ages. Robin, Stephanie, and their team at SMRO auto provided exactly that. The best part of the experience is the way they take the time to explain the issue, their proposed fix, and the risks associated with ignoring the issue. I didn't feel pressured, up-sold, or taken at any point of the process. 10/10 would recommend.

SMRO is outstanding. I took my misfiring 2008 Honda Accord to SMRO after going to multiple garages with a disappointing results, including a Honda dealership which estimated timing chain, (with 98% accuracy) as an issue and asked $2,100 for a repair. After other garages couldn't made any progress for days, SMRO diagnosed and FIX my car within a couple of hours . In the process they recommended a great towing service and even throw in a few freebees at the end. By far best customer service since I came to Canada 20 yrs ago; KNOWLEDGABLE, friendly, and HONEST staff and owner. Due to their fantastic work on what was almost considered a lost cause repair job for my car, they have gained a new customer. Highly recommend SMRO to anyone, look no further.

SMRO definitely deserves FIVE STARS!! I came here for an oil change when my car gave me that warning signal, you know. I know very little about cars thus I treat those warnings seriously. They have very good protocols during COVID. They took my key and I waited for a while and a mechanism came to me asking why I want an oil change. I was like ??? And he said because your car told you to do so right? I said yes and he said you don’t need an oil change now. That light was on because the guy charged my oil the last time did not reset the indicator (or whatever it is) I was completely shocked by how ethical these guys are. I would not doubt anything if they just go ahead and change my oil. And they know I wouldn’t. Yet they told me to go home. I will only come to this place for any auto service from now on because I know I can trust them 100%!
