Fantastic people - Peter, Scott, and Dave are great human beings. Last year, they got myself and my wife onto two new Triumphs. I never felt overly pushed, I always felt listened to, and they put up with my questions, random visits to the shop, and requests for advice with good humor and patience. Probably the best dealership experience I've had yet, which is why I still drive the 100km from Nanaimo down there any time my Triumph needs servicing or if I need accessories and official Triumph gear. These are great people.

I purchased a 2020 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster from Island Motorcycle Company the end of July 2020. The sales staff - Peter Grant and Jeanette were a pleasure to deal with. I traded in my immaculate 2013 Yamaha FJR1300 and was satisfied with the trade-in value that I received. I have dealt with quite a number of dealerships in the past 50+ years of riding, and without reservation, I would rate my purchasing experience at Island Motorcycle Co. as one of the best. The sales staff treated me with respect, were prompt in following up any concerns that I had, again, overall, they were just a pleasure to deal with. Now, let me tell you what I was not happy about and an area that Island Motorcycle Co. needs to address. I am not all that happy with their Service Department. Scott and Dave need to pay more attention to customer service and the maintenance advice that is given to customers. On both occasions; first, when I approached Scott to schedule my 1st maintenance and the second time, the day I brought the motorcycle in for servicing, I stood there without being acknowledged by Scott for several minutes, while he was looking at his computer screen. Having a customer stand in front of him for several minutes, without acknowledging their presence is simply, DISRESPECTFUL! Another concern that needs to be addressed relates to maintenance scheduling. Having reviewed both my owner's manual and my service manual for the Speedmaster, the information I was given by Dave was simply inconsistent with Triumph's recommended service interval. Dave informed me that the dealer's recommended oil change interval is every 5,000 to 6,000 km. Both my owner's manual and my Service manual recommend this service every 16,000 km. THIS DISCREPANCY IS HUGE and not acceptable. I am certain that Island Motorcycle Co. will rectify these concerns. Would I recommend this dealership to others when purchasing a motorcycle, my answer is, DEFINITELY YES!
