I hope more people find out about this store! I stumbled upon RSD by accident, but ended up getting myself a custom|tailor made jacket from RSD that was based off a retail jacket I had originally wanted. I was anxious about the purchase, but Joshua alleviated most of my worries by being honest and walking me through the process and any of the hiccups along the way. In the end the jacket I got was close enough to perfect and, importantly, tailored to me. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I do plan on going back should I need any riding gear.

I ordered a custom version of the Jet pants w/ leather patches on the inside of the legs up to knee height. I found Josh to be attentive and intent on getting my measurements correct to ensure a good fit. Josh is very good to deal with and very personable...thanks for the laughs Josh! Guys built like me have trouble finding already expensive motorcycle jackets and pants that actually fit. Short legs and thick upper bodies. Ok, short and fat...whatever. LOL! So anyway, finding a reasonably priced, LOCAL and CUSTOM option is fantastic! The process of ordering and measuring was painless, but the wait to actually receive the finished product was a little long (9 wks). However, due to COVID 19, I have to cut Josh some slack on that one. I did manage to try them out before the end of the season and am very pleased. I can't attest to durability or waterproofing at this point but overall I'm happy with my purchase and would order from Josh again.

Stepped into Rubber Side Down on a whim while out looking for gear and am exceptionally glad we did! Joshua was welcoming, knowledgable, and extremely passionate about the quality and design of the Rubber Side Down products. He took care to show us the details of his gear, explain the safety standards, and ensure we got a great fit. We picked up a CE certified, waterproof women's jacket with a built-in fleece liner, and an additional fitted over-jacket rain cover. Styling looked great across both pieces. Impressed with his entire lineup, and will be back in the future to pick up more gear. Would recommend checking this place out!

It was nice to see Josh at his new location. RSD has a good variety of very good quality motorsport clothing. All his leathers and synthetic materials are denser and thicker than anywhere else. The quality, style, and looks can be compared with any top brand name items but at a better price. Many items are innovative with unique features not found on top tier products. He is local and you get the sense that he likes to looks after the riding community here. I've patronized his shop for 10 years and I keep coming back. I obviously do recommend.
