Honest guys in the shop. I took a BMW in to get the air conditioning looked at. They did, and explained the issue, and gave me a recommendation on who would be better equipped to help me out. No BS, just a straight up explanation. Thanks everyone!

We were travelling all the way from Toronto to Montreal and had to pull over in Cornwall because we heard something dragging under the car. We pulled over and confirmed something had come loose. We have a 2016 Honda Fit so I went to the Honda Cornwall dealership. They closed at 6pm. It was 6:03pm. I thought we were screwed but it was worth a shot: I ran up and frantically waved to the employee inside. The employee opened the door and I explained what happened and asked if he could take a look, even though they had just closed. I overheard the employee talking with the owner about how all the mechanics had gone home already. Nonetheless they told us to go around the back and they opened the garage door for us. The employee and owner told us the shield plate was loose. It took about 45 minutes of them fastening the shield plate on for us, that’s 6:45pm, well after they close on a Friday night. I am so so grateful to the owner (Bill?) and his employee for not only looking at our car but also fixing it after they closed. I asked him how much for fixing it. He said ''it’s just 4 or 5 screws.'' I said to him “But what about your labour? And the fact that you stayed late on a Friday night.” “Don’t worry about it” he said. I am so so grateful that they helped us out, especially as we were on our way to our vacation in Montreal and we were *almost* there. And suddenly with the car trouble, we realized we might have to pay for an extra night at a hotel in the area, to deal with the car in the morning, which would have put a damper on our vacation. Instead we have this story, thanks to the Honda dealership in Cornwall. Man, I wish this were my Honda dealership. Alas, I’m back in Toronto now :)

The service team is great. Very nice advisors and always a pleasant time taking my Honda in for service. I always leave my car there for the day because I know they can get busy and I understand that, plus I just steal the hubbies car for the day! Haha Thanks again!
