I went here to purchase a used car that I had been looking for, for some time. They had the exact one I wanted. The customer service was great and the salesperson was honest. I never felt pressured or pushed to purchase and all of my quesotns were answered respectfully and satisfactorily. However, when I went for the test drive, the car was dirty and smelled terrible. There was animal fur everywhere. I wanted to hold my breath while driving it, but it did drive very well and was much to my liking mechanically and technologically speaking. The salesperson promised the car would be professionally detailed and cleaned sufficiently upon delivery for $499 which included a pre-purchade inspection. Sounded like a good deal to me, so I decided to purchase and pay for the extra package instead of doing a PPI myself. On delivery day, I was excited to take my new purchase off the lot. As soon as I jumped into the car, the smell hit me again, although not nearly as strong because it was being masked by a chemical scent agent. The car looked pretty clean initially, so I figured what the heck, maybe airing it out will work as I had to drive back to Ottawa and didn't want to make a fuss over a slight smell. I started driving back with the windows partially down (in the middle of winter) and it wasn't really helping... in fact it was gettig worse because the chemical scent was dissipating. I pulled over to grab some fuel and did a more thorough inspection and noticed there was still large amounts of animal fur between the seats and on the headliner with very noticeable parts of the interior that weren't cleaned. I was very disappointed, but wasn't about to head back. I decided to cut my losses and get the car detailed myself somewhere in Ottawa. I brought the car to Luxus and they were shocked by how dirty the car was and how little effort was put into cleaning it properly. They discovered carpet spray paint of some sort was used to hide the fur instead of actually cleaning it out. This also made their job harder to do and 4 hours and over $300 later I had a car that was actually detailed professionally and smelled good. For future shoppers here, beware of the detailing service offered. It is not professionally done and is very substandard and disappointing. I wasted my $ paying for that extra service. Save your $ and do it somewhere else. In general, it's probably best to avoid buying a used vehicle that has signs of pets being in it, unless you are receiving a sufficient additional discount. If it weren't for the shoddy detailing, I would've rated this dealership 5 stars.
